An Impact Test is used to determine the adherence characteristics of powder paint. Test samples are powder coated and then subjected to a strike by a weight from a predetermined level. The level of the strike determines how many pounds the paint should withstand before losing adherence. If the paint holds to the surface, the test is a success.
